Primary Products
CBA is self-sufficient in bauxite, the raw material used to make aluminium. Out mines contain high-quality aluminum reserves, making our operations more sustainable and competitive.
Main applications:

Production of hydrate, a raw material used in the refinery stage.
Alumina is produced in the first stage of producing primary aluminum. The alumina produced by CBA offers superior performance in terms of hardness, long-term strength and purity.

P1020 ingots
Our ingots are used for remelting in a wide range of industries. Ingots are produced by casting molten aluminum in permanent molds, known as shells, under controlled cooling conditions.

  • P1020 , containing 99.7% aluminum, 0.1% silicon, and 0.2% iron max.
  • P1010 , containing 99.8% aluminum, 0.1% silicon, and 0.1% iron max.

Alloy ingots We are Brazil’s leading producer of alloy ingots. The aluminum-silicon in its composition is what primarily distinguishes this type of ingot from P1020 ingots.

Main applications: aluminum wheels
Billets
We produce billets with a superior surface finish and a more uniform and fine-grained internal structure than conventional billets. We use Wagstaff AirSlip® air casting technology and degassing, filtering and grain refining treatments.

Main applications: production of profiles used to make window and door frames, gates and truck and trailer bodies.

Metalex billets: Metalex processes scrap and ingots into billets made of different alloys and with different lengths and diameters.

Rod
We make rod products using the Properzi process of centrifugal casting, which gives an approximately circular cross section. Molten aluminum is transformed into bars, compressed in the rolling process and then coiled using a standard OTT - Jumbo Coil system.

Main applications: production of wire and cable

Extra-thin and thin foil
CBA offers foil as thin as 6 µm. State-of-the-art equipment and processes ensure that our products are of the highest quality and can be used to produce packaging that is waterproof, opaque, rust-resistant and free from tastes and smells.
Main applications: flexible food packaging, such as milk cartons and pouches, and tubes and pouches for pharmaceutical and personal hygiene products
Medium, coated or uncoated foil CBA uses Polytype equipment to produce the latest types of aluminum foil structures. This equipment can lubricate and coat foil with a thickness of between 0.02 and 0.2 mm. We offer aluminum foil with different types of coatings for the food and pharmaceutical industries, including resin, varnish, primers and films, and lubricated foil for use in disposable products in general.
Main applications: cups, food packaging seals, strips and pharmaceutical blister packs.
Thick foil and strips
CBA offers foil with a thickness of 0.05 to 0.25 mm, in a whole range of alloys and widths according to the specific needs of our customers.
Main applications: heat exchangers for the automotive industry and durable goods, and food and pharmaceutical packaging caps.
Sheet and coils
Aluminium sheet and coils are used in a wide variety of applications, offering a combination of light weight, strength and versatility for products in the automotive, transportation, consumer goods and other markets.
Plate sheet
7 to 240 mm thick.
1xxx, 3xxx and 5xxx series alloys.
Widths: 810, 960, 1060 and 1310 mm.

Main applications: machinery and equipment, molds, stamps and household utensils.
Plain sheet
0.3 to 4 mm thick.
1xxx, 3xxx and 5xxx series alloys.
Conventional finish obtained by cold rolling. Totally flat and produced by pre-tensioning. A plastic film can be applied to one or both faces. Supplied in coils or in formatted sheet.

Main applications: Main applications: buses, truck bodies, home utensils, refrigeration and siding.
Embossed sheets for flooring applications
Base thickness ranging from 1 to 3 mm.
0.5 to 1.3mm embossed finish on one face.
Produced through a washing process.

Main applications: anti-slip bus flooring, staircases, access ramps and decoration.
Stucco sheet
0.5 to 3 mm thick.
Supplied in coils or in formatted sheet.
Surface-finished at the final stage of the process.

Produced by continuous casters: coils undergo degassing, filtering and grain refining treatment, resulting in a material with high metallurgical and mechanical quality.

CBA’s extruded profiles come in a wide range of alloys and tempers, offering high structural strength and corrosion resistance, light weight, durability and versatility.
